Why join Dickinson Dees as a Trainee Legal Secretary?
Each year, Dickinson Dees offers the opportunity for people to join the firm and train to become Legal Secretaries through our STARt training programme. Recruitment for these positions takes place twice a year in May and November.
The STARt training programme lasts 12 months and Trainee Legal Secretaries gain exposure to all our main fee earning departments (Litigation, Company and Commercial, Property and Private Client). On the job training is supported by training courses to build skills and knowledge, a mentoring system and the Legal Secretaries Apprentice scheme which leads to an NVQ Level 2.
We are committed to helping our Trainee Legal Secretaries progress their careers and move on to Secretarial roles once they have completed their training programme.
We welcome people onto our STARt training programme whether they join us straight from education or have other experience and want to embark on a Legal Secretarial career.
