Trainee Solicitors
Choosing where to train as a solicitor is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Glossy recruitment brochures and fancy websites help, but most say the same thing. Everyone seems to offer high quality work, genuine commitment to your training and development, a good working atmosphere and a promising future. No doubt this is all true, yet logically everybody knows that all firms are not the same.
So why Dickinson Dees? Why should you train with us instead of one of the many other high quality commercial firms who you have seen at law fairs or clicked on their website?
First of all consider this - perhaps you shouldn't! It is nonsense to suggest that one particular firm is right for every high calibre applicant. Just as we do not recruit some good people who would be welcomed by other firms, we may not appeal to everyone. The whole point is that selection is a two way process, and rightly so. We have to be right for you, and you have to be right for us.
This isn't a sales pitch. We've tried to be as honest as possible. We aim to give you the hard information you need about training with Dickinson Dees and what we are looking for from our trainees. If you read it and find that we are not the firm for you then we have achieved one of our objectives.
On the other hand, if you read this and you're interested in us then why not try to find out more? We run work placements during the year and you are strongly encouraged to apply. However informative this website may be, there is really no substitute for seeing the firm first hand. The more experience you can gain from seeing different law firms, the better equipped you will be to decide which one is right for you.
