Health

• The team advised Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust on its £300 million project to redevelop the Royal Infirmary and provide new Cancer and Renal Units at the Freeman Hospital.
• The team is advising South Tyneside PCT in relation to the provision of a facility providing health care and community space. This project has been procured as part of the South Tyneside and Gateshead Building Schools for the Future scheme.
• The team advised Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust on its £160 million PFI scheme for a new Cancer Centre in Leeds.
• The team is advising the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust in respect of the development of a multi-site scheme for the redevelopment of two new hospitals in West Yorkshire.
• The team is advising Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust and Tameside and Glossop Acute NHS Trust on a £200 million “batched” scheme to redevelop two hospitals.
• The team advised Redcar and Cleveland Primary Care Trust on its Fit for the Future PFI project for the re-provision of Stead Memorial Hospital and Redcar Health Centre.
• The team is advising the Aintree Hospitals NHS Trust on its Elective Care Centre PFI scheme.

Education

• The team is advising the London Borough of Newham, Durham County Council, Middlesbrough Council, Doncaster Council, Stockton Council and St. Helens Council in relation to their Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Projects.
• The team advised Newcastle City Council in relation to their £180 million Building Schools for the Future Project, the first BSF scheme to reach financial close in the North-East. The team are currently advising Newcastle City Council in relation to the second phase of projects being developed under this scheme.
• The team advised South Tyneside and Gateshead Councils Building Schools for the Future Scheme, so far the only multi-authority BSF Scheme.
• The team advised the private sector bidder in relation to the Lincolnshire Schools PFI Scheme.
• The team advised Darlington Borough Council in relation to its Education Village Scheme.
• The team advised Barclays Bank Plc on a scheme to fund a new school in Boldon, South Tyneside.
• The team advised Co-operative Bank Plc on its funding of a multi-school PFI scheme for the City of York.

• The team is advising Cumbria County Council with regard to its Waste Management Scheme.

• The team advised Nationwide Building Society on an £85 million debt facility to fund a major housing prject in the North West.
• The team has advised Barclays Bank on its lending of £222 million to fund the provision of four primary health care facilities around Doncaster for Doncaster LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust).
• The team advised Allied Irish Bank Capital Markets on a facility for the Redcar street lighting PFI Project.
• The team has also advised Nationwide Building Society in relation to the Dorset Emergency Services Partnership Initiative.
