    After graduating from Cambridge University, David was articled at City of London firm Simmons & Simmons. David has for a number of years been recognised as one of the leading property lawyers in Yorkshire. Joining us as a Partner in September 2007, David brings with him over 20 years of development expertise, including working on key and varied projects throughout the North of England.

Retirement Villages

David’s reputation as one of the few solicitors operating in the expanding retirement village sector means that the York team are currently advising Oakbridge Retirement Villages (a joint venture between Wetherby developer Caddick Group and care specialist HICA) on such schemes in:

• Chorley, Lancashire which opens later this year with over 230 units designed for independent, assisted and supported living, all on the same site
• St Helens, Lancashire
• Anlaby and Hedon, Hull

Industrial Parks

David is currently advising on:

• The 65 acre B1 and B8 scheme at Europarc Grimsby where over 500,000 sq. ft has already been let or sold
• A new 47 acre B1 and B8 scheme at Melton, East Yorkshire
• The proposed joint venture to develop a further 50 acres for B1 and B8 adjacent to the Melton scheme

Urban Regeneration

The York team has been retained by the joint venture partners developing the £125 million mixed use scheme at Flemingate, Beverley, which is currently at the pre-planning approval stage.
