- James qualified in London specialising in employment law and commercial litigation. He joined Dickinson Dees in 1991 and was made a partner in 1994. Like the other members of our Employment team, James now practises exclusively in employment law. His work includes advising clients day to day on all aspects of employment law including the practical aspects of handling disciplinary and grievance proceedings and defending Employment Tribunal claims. Recent ET cases include the successful defence of unfair dismissal claims and claims of disability discrimination and of race discrimination. James is also experienced in advising on the termination of senior executives and large scale restructuring and redundancy exercises. He frequently advises on the TUPE implications of business transfers and contracting out.
