Newcastle City Council Building Schools for the Future Project
Kevin is part of the Dickinson Dees team advising Newcastle City Council in relation to its Wave 1 £200m BSF programme.

London Borough of Newham Building Schools for the Future Project
Kevin is part of the Dickinson Dees team advising LB Newham on its Wave 1 BSF Project.

South Tyneside & Gateshead Council Building Schools for the Future Project
Kevin is part of the Dickinson Dees team advising the councils on their joint BSF scheme.

Durham County Council Building Schools for the Future Project
Kevin is part of the Dickinson Dees team advising the Council on its BSF scheme.

Darlington Borough Council Schools PFI Scheme
Kevin led the Dickinson Dees team advising the Authority in relation to this £35m PFI scheme which included an innovative “Education Village” bringing together SEN Schools and Community Schools on one site. Kevin advised the Council on the procurement stages of the scheme and then led the commercial negotiations through to financial close.

South Tyneside Schools PFI Scheme
Kevin was part of the team advising Barclays Bank plc on this £28m scheme. Barclays are funding the preferred bidder and the project reached financial close in April 2005.

York Schools PFI Scheme
Kevin led the commercial negotiations on behalf of Co-operative Bank plc who are the funder to the preferred bidder. The scheme reached financial close in January 2005.

Lincolnshire County Council Schools PFI Scheme
Kevin was part of the Dickinson Dees team which advised FocusEducation Limited (a joint venture between HBoS and Bovis Lend Lease) on this scheme where they were preferred bidder. The scheme reached financial close in September 2001.

Health

NHS Lift
Kevin was part of the Dickinson Dees team which advised the Co-operative Bank Plc in relation to the funding of four NHS LIFT schemes. Kevin had particular responsibility for reviewing the strategic partnering agreement and then developing the facilities management contracts in conjunction with the borrower’s advisors.

Other Health Related Work
In addition to his work on the NHS lift scheme Kevin has been involved in a number of PFI schemes where Dickinson Dees were acting as advisors to the procuring NHS Trust. In addition to assisting on the schemes for Newcastle and Leeds NHS Trusts Kevin was part of the core team advising what was then the North Durham Health Care NHS Trust in its procurement of a new community hospital at Chester-le-Street.

Other Sectors

Tyne & Wear Fire and Civil Defence Authority Fire Station PFI Scheme
Kevin was part of the Dickinson Dees team advising the Authority in relation to its £32m scheme to develop a new brigade headquarters and a number of new fire stations. Kevin led the commercial negotiations with the private sector through ITN and preferred bidder stages through to financial close. Kevin also advised the authority in relation to issues arising from the delayed delivery of the scheme which has now been successfully concluded.

Newcastle City Council Libraries PFI Scheme
Kevin is part of the Dickinson Dees team advising on the delivery of this project. The £30m scheme will see the redevelopment of the Central Library in Newcastle upon Tyne together with a number of community libraries.

Gateshead Council Customer Services Strategy
Kevin advised Gateshead Council in relation to the procurement strategy and scoping to deliver its Customer Service Strategy which included the development of a number of local information service centres. The project was developed on the basis of a strategic partnership between the council and its preferred private sector partner.

North East Fire & Rescue Authorities Fire PFI Scheme
Kevin is part of the Dickinson Dees team advising Tyne & Wear Fire Authority, Durham & Darlington Fire Authority and Northumberland Fire Authority on their joint PFI scheme to deliver six new fire stations across the NEFRA region.
