- Michael has experience of a wide range of property transactions including development work, secured lending and insolvency related transactions and property aspects of energy and railways projects. He has specialised experience in relation to wind farm projects including reviewing existing leases and title investigation and has developed, in conjunction with Northern Electric Generation Limited and subsequently EDF Energy, bespoke documentation for wind farm sites comprising a deed of licence and option and draft lease.
Experience
Recent experience includes: advising in respect of an existing wind farm lease relating to Kirkheaton, Northumberland;
the granting of a wind farm lease, substation lease and two deeds of grant for a wind farm at High Hedley Hope, County Durham;
acting in connection with 16 onshore wind farm projects;
advice to Nexus on the extension of the Metro system to Sunderland;
advice to the Passenger Transport Authority in connection with the construction of the proposed New Tyne Crossing.
