    Stuart trained at Dickinson Dees between 1994-1996 before re-joining the firm in 2001 as Director in the Environment & Safety Team, advising on the full range of environmental legal issues, comprising:
    • Risk management (particularly in transactional contexts)
    • Regulatory compliance; and
    • Regulatory enforcement and civil litigation
    Stuart has represented clients across a broad range of industrial and commercial sectors, with particular sectoral foci inn the waste management, contaminated land, chemicals, property investment/development, banking and public sectors.

    Stuart advises clients in a broad range of sectors in relation to risk management in the contact of normal business operations, transactions and crisis management situations. In particular, assisting clients with the environmental and safety aspects of the acquisition, funding and disposal of properties, companies and other assets and services, involving coordinating due diligence, advising on liability risk and management, negotiating and drafting contractual terms and organizing remediation of environmental problems.

    Stuart is listed as a `leading individual in environmental law` in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession 2006.
